Moscow declares ceasefire in Mariupol

In a propaganda clip, the pro-Russian separatists display their strike force, highlighting the intensive bombardments for weeks on the Azovstal factory in Mariupol (Ukraine). Wednesday, May 4, it is difficult to know what is really happening in this metallurgical complex. Russian tanks are located nearby and a Russian offensive is said to be underway. For its part, Moscow denies having launched the assault. The mayor of Mariupol affirms that the fighting is very violent. Ukrainian soldiers would still be entrenched in the factory.

On Wednesday, Russia announced a ceasefire at the factory and a three-day humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians. Some of them could have been exfiltrated a few days earlier, they went to Zaporijia, a city under Ukrainian control. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky calls on the UN chief to save the wounded from Azovstal to Mariupol.
