At least 25 people were killed on Sunday January 21 by a bombing on a market in Donetsk, a large city occupied by Moscow in eastern Ukraine, according to local pro-Russian authorities. “At present, reports of 25 deaths have been confirmed. At least 20 other people have been injured, including two children in moderate condition.”declared the head of the occupation of the region, Denis Pushline.

Russian news agencies broadcast photos of bloodied bodies lying lifeless in the middle of fruit and vegetable stalls. But for now, Ukraine has not reacted to accusations of strikes on civilians, despite invectives from Moscow. On the ground, Ukrainian forces remain under pressure from the Russian army and separatists, who claimed the capture of a small town in the east of the country on Sunday morning.

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry on Sunday attributed the strike to “neo-Nazi regime in kyiv, supported by the United States and its satellites”accusing him of having “committed a barbaric terrorist act against the civilian population of Russia”.
