About fifteen vehicles were burned on the night of Tuesday 27 to Wednesday 28 in Alençon (Orne), in the Perseigne district, according to information from France Bleu Normandie.
This urban violence began around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, 35 police and gendarmes intervened on the spot until 2 a.m. Vehicles were used to blockade the streets of the neighborhood. The security forces were targeted by mortar fire, without causing any injuries.
The scene was secured to allow the intervention of firefighters. At 2 a.m. on Wednesday, calm had returned to the neighborhood, without the reasons for these scuffles being known for the moment.
Violence had already broken out in this district on October 27, 2021, vehicles had been set on fire and police officers targeted by fireworks mortar fire.
