(Toronto) Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly will have to explain himself in person to the Department of Player Safety of the National Hockey League.
The date of his hearing was not announced on Sunday.
Rielly delivered a double check to the face of Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig on Saturday. The club from the national capital won 5-3.
The incident occurred at 19:54 of the third period after Greig scored into an empty net with a slap shot.
Rielly received a major penalty and a game misconduct for his action.
