Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) has one more pugilist in its stable with the hiring of Frenchman Moreno Fendero, a left-handed boxer who played in the 75 kg amateur division.
The president of EOTTM, Camille Estephan, made the announcement in a press release on Friday.
Estephan said Fendero will make his move to the pros in the 160-pound division on August 19 at the Videotron Center in Quebec City, on the sidelines of the light heavyweight unification fight between three-time champion Artur Beterbiev and Callum Smith.
The 24-year-old boxer was introduced to boxing in 2015. After only a few months of training, he earned a place in the French national team and was notably crowned junior vice-champion of the country. in 2016 then gold medalist in 2017.
Among seniors, Fendero has notably been French champion twice, in addition to winning third position at the European Championships and then at the 2023 Elite World Championships.
His training camp on the sidelines of the clash between Beterbiev and Smith will be at his home in Aubervilliers in France. Thereafter, Fendero will come to settle in Quebec to train under the leadership of Marc Ramsay.

The Montrealer will evolve in bantamweight (118 pounds), a very popular division on the international scene and which was dominated by the great Japanese Naoya “Monster” Inoue (24-0, 21 K. -O.), unified champion in 2022, but who will go to the super bantamweight in his next fight.
Fendero’s arrival at EOTTM also comes a few months after Colombian super featherweight Jhon Orobio was signed.
