More than a thousand targets hit by Israel

In just 24 hours, more than 1,100 strikes were carried out by Israel on Lebanon on Monday, September 23. Lebanese authorities say it is the most violent and deadly day in the country since the civil war 35 years ago. Nearly 300 people have died. Amid the wailing of sirens, residents of southern Lebanon are fleeing. “People are all leaving”testifies a man.

On the roads, long lines of vehicles of Lebanese fleeing the war. Women and children leave with only the clothes on their backs. The destination does not matter as long as the hell of bombs remains far behind. But where can one flee when one does not know where the next strike will be? Israel is pounding southern Lebanon and announced on Monday that it was targeting the Bekaa Valley, further north in the country.
