Four people were arrested on May 1 in Drôme after the seizure of half a ton of ecstasy found in two vehicles coming from the north of France, the national gendarmerie announced Tuesday, May 7. A quantity of drug which represents “more than a million pills”detail the authorities.

A judicial investigation is opened for “acquisition, possession, transport, offer or transfer of narcotics, import and export of narcotics in an organized gang, participation in a criminal association”specifies the gendarmerie.

The gendarmerie also explains having found a handgun in one of the two vehicles where the stamps were discovered in Saint-Rambert-d’Albon and Valence. The four suspects were indicted.
