Some 860,000 college students take the written exams for the national patent diploma on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 June. The students will take the French and math tests first, then those of history-geography and science the next day.

The certificate, which attests to the knowledge and skills acquired at the end of college, at the end of the third class, consists of a part of continuous control and final tests. It is marked out of 800 points in total: 400 continuous control points and 400 final test points. You have to get at least 400 points to get it. French and mathematics are assessed on 100 points and history-geography and science on 50 points. The oral test, spread over a period from mid-April to the end of the written tests, is assessed on 100 points.

It is precisely 867,182 candidates who are registered in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments and regions to pass the patent, which marks the end of the first cycle studies in the second degree.
