Two men were arrested by police officers from the anti-crime brigade on Tuesday evening in the Bagatelle district, in Toulouse, in connection with drug trafficking, the city prosecutor’s office said in a statement on Wednesday. A pregnant woman managed to escape, she is currently wanted.
This Tuesday, July 26, around 7 p.m., these police officers were watching the entrance to a building and located an apartment where narcotics transactions are taking place. A buyer was arrested. The police decided to search the accommodation, but the occupants barricaded themselves with furniture, so the agents of the BAC had to force access.
Inside, 50 kg of cannabis resin, six kg of cocaine, 7,900 euros in cash and two weapons, a Glock automatic pistol with ammunition and an unloaded shotgun were found. The resale value of the drug exceeds 760,000 euros.
The two occupants of the apartment, a 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, were arrested. Three minor children also lived in the accommodation. The couple is known to the police: the man has already been convicted of possession of narcotics, aggravated theft and traffic offenses and my wife is known for contempt of persons holding public authority.
The woman being pregnant and close to term was transported by firefighters to hospital but managed to escape during transport. His companion, like the buyer, have been taken into custody and are being heard.
