The first answers have fallen. Among the 917,000 candidates who confirmed at least one wish on Parcoursup, “more than 500,000” senior high school students and reorientation students have received “at least one proposal”, announced Sunday, June 4 the Ministry of Education. In an interview at TelegramMinister Pap N’Diaye initially mentioned the figure of “600,000” positive responses.

The ministry therefore returned to this figure, specifying that it was a first estimate since the first admission phase lasts until July 7. “The ministries will publish on Parcoursup.fr and on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, on June 7, the daily indicators of the admission phase.“recalls the ministry.

For candidates, several responses from higher establishments are possible for each of their wishes: to be accepted (“yes”), to be accepted under conditions (“yes if”, for university courses which require the student to follow a course of pedagogical or personalized support), being on the waiting list or even being refused (only for selective courses).

Limited time for responses

High school students must respond no later than Sunday at 11:59 p.m. for proposals made on June 1 and 2 and Monday at 11:59 p.m. for those received on June 3. For proposals received from Monday, they must respond no later than the following evening. “So far, it’s going well, both from a technical point of view and for the candidates”commented Pap Ndiaye.

At the same time, an additional admission phase will allow candidates to formulate from June 15 up to ten new wishes in the training courses that still have places.
