Some 4,439 homes were still plunged into darkness on Tuesday morning, due to power outages caused by violent storms that swept through southern and central Quebec the day before.
In the Outaouais, some 2,940 customers were deprived of electricity, while 718 families in Quebec were not reconnected to the Hydro-Quebec electrical network.
Seven outages still affect 439 customers in the Montérégie region, while in Montreal 173 homes are deprived of electricity by a dozen outages on the network of the state company.
Just over a hundred customers are also without electricity in the Laurentians and Lanaudière, according to the latest Hydro-Québec report updated shortly before 5 a.m.
A total of 37 power outages have yet to be restored across all regions of the province.
