More than 300 firefighters from around thirty departments paid tribute to Manon on Thursday July 20 in Reigny in Cher where she lived. Manon Labarre, a 19-year-old volunteer firefighter, was killed on Saturday by a falling tree while she was working on a stubble fire near Culan in the Allier. Several hundred residents of the area and many elected officials also came to say goodbye to him.

Six colleagues of the young woman, firefighters at the center of Culan in the Cher, carried her coffin, wrapped in a red white blue flag, during the ceremony. To salute the memory of the young woman, the Legion of Honor was awarded to her posthumously. She was also elevated to the rank of corporal. After the homage ceremony, his funeral took place in a small committee in the town church.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin was present for the ceremony, as well as the Minister Delegate for Local Authorities, Dominique Faure. The Minister of the Interior spoke with the family of Manon, in the town hall of Reigny, before the start of the tribute.
