The 7th edition of the “Choose France” summit, dedicated to investments on French territory, opened Monday May 13 in Versailles, in Yvelines. More than 15 billion euros of foreign investments have been announced.
More than 15 billion euros of foreign investments announced in France in 2024. Monday May 13, the “Choose France” summit opened, chaired by Emmanuel Macron, in Versailles (Yvelines). This summit brings together foreign business leaders. Around 180 patterns are expected this year for this 7th edition. The country is the champion of attractiveness. Projects also synonymous with jobs. Ultimately, 10,000 jobs could be created.
200 hires planned at Amazon
Among the biggest investments, Microsoft is announcing 4 billion euros, part of which is to build a data center in Alsace. 200 hires are planned. At Amazon, more than a billion euros of investments and 3,000 permanent jobs have been announced, particularly in logistics. The German Lilium wants to build a factory to assemble its electric plane in France. A 400 million euro project which could generate 850 jobs.
