The news, first reported by Radio-Canada, was confirmed by sources at Press.

At 5 p.m., Premier François Legault and Minister of Health Christian Dubé will hold a press conference to take stock of the spread of the virus in the province.

According to information obtained by Press, the Prime Minister should announce the return of the curfew, starting this Friday, for a period of three weeks. This measure should be in effect from 9 p.m. or 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Quebec is also considering announcing the closure of restaurants. Non-essential businesses would not have to close their doors, however. Their capacity has already been reduced to 50% since last week.

François Legault would also ask Quebecers not to gather with people outside their family bubble. The return to class would also be postponed to January 17 in all school levels.
