The number of Covid-19 cases among students and education staff increased in one week at school, reaching more than 88,500 and more than 11,500 respectively, according to figures released on Friday April 1 by the ministry. Class closures are stable. The ministry lists 2,897 classes closed out of 527,215 classes in total, or 0.55%. The previous week, there were 3,080 closed classes.
Contaminations at school have continued to increase for a week. In total, 88,722 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed among students cumulatively over the last seven days, against 81,424 last week, according to these data stopped Thursday at midday. Among the staff, the Ministry of National Education has counted 11,637 cases over the last seven days, against 10,201 the previous week. The academies most affected by class closures are those of Nancy-Metz, Aix-Marseille, Montpellier or even Reunion.
