More relaxed in the Berlin metro thanks to the cannabis taste ticket

: real good stuff ”, explains in a video presentation the BVG, which manages buses, trams and metro in Berlin.

Its “hemp ticket”, offered until Friday, was especially designed to combat “the stress of Christmas”, explains the company, which is used to marketing operations.

The daily ticket – priced at 8.80 euros (12.75 CAD dollars) – is made of edible paper impregnated with a thin layer of hemp oil, “at most three drops”, the company specifies.

After expiration of its 24 hour validity, it can be consumed and since, “unlike flowers, hemp seed does not contain psychoactive substances like THC or CBD”, the oil is “completely harmless to health” and “completely legal,” adds the BVG.

The advertising action amused the social networks: “from now on, we can also get high with the BVG”, jokes a user.

The operation is in no way a stance in the debate on the legalization of cannabis, the new German government of which has planned to authorize the sale in approved shops, assures the transport authority which specifies to be “against any form of drug use ”.
