New competitors to fireworks, light drone shows are increasingly used in French cities for environmental reasons.
They light up the night sky like stars of another kind. Capable of forming all shapes, light drones were used much more this summer in France. They punctuated the summer events, rivaling fireworks: “It’s amazing, I’m blown away!”exclaims a spectator.
Behind these performances, companies that have specialized in this new type of aerial choreography. In Lyon, a team of artists first works on the conceptualization of the choreographies. A scenography where each has a very specific role. The music and the animation must be perfectly synchronized. This represents several hours of programming.
In practice, hundreds of drones are placed one by one on the ground before checking the parameters. A meticulous job but above all less polluting than fireworks. More environmentally friendly, drones are increasingly attractive. However, they are more expensive than fireworks.
