In summer, in the Gulf of Morbihan, the ports are full. In order to preserve the biodiversity of this site, a team reminds boaters of eco-friendly actions.

During the summer period, the ports of the Gulf of Morbihan are full with 7,000 anchorages and boaters who need to be made aware of the fragility of the site. Anne Boulet and her colleague have been crisscrossing the gulf since 2016 to inform boaters. The crews of a boat, concerned about the environment, adhere to this discourse. We only came by sail, so we do everything to be in symbiosis with nature when we travel.”testifies one of the crew members.

Eco-friendly actions to apply

Under certain boats, hundreds of hectares of underwater meadows are hidden, home to many animals, such as seahorses and seahorses. When dropping anchor, boaters tear them off. Mooring buoys have been installed, although some question the impact of anchoring in this area. If dropping anchor is not prohibited, regulations are possible to protect the seabed. The mission of Anne Boulet and her colleague does not stop there. It continues on the pontoons. The agents remind us of eco-friendly gestures.
