Monza footballer Pablo Mari stabbed in mall attack

Italy experienced a tragedy Thursday, October 27 at the end of the day, on the outskirts of Milan in Assago. A knife attack took place in a shopping center, during which the Spanish footballer Pablo Mari was stabbed. The Monza club defender, who is not in mortal danger, is currently being treated in a hospital in the city of Milan.

Dear Pablo, we are all here by your side and those of your family, we love you, keep fighting as you know how to do, you are a warrior and you will recover soon“, wrote the Monza club on its Twitter account, quoting its president Adriano Galliani. The latter went to the bedside of the player in the hospital, alongside the Monza coach, Raffaelle Palladino, and is shown reassuring about Mari’s state of health, explaining that he “should recover fairly quickly”.

Galliani had recruited the 29-year-old Spanish defender on loan from Arsenal this summer to strengthen the workforce of Monza, promoted to Serie A for the first time in its history. Arsenal also passed on their “thoughts to Pablo Mari and other victimsof this attack.
