Around 1:15 p.m., a call was made to 911 concerning a conflict between two women in the area of boulevard Rosemont between avenue Papineau and rue de Bordeaux. One of them was slightly injured in the upper body by a blunt object and took refuge in a nearby business.

An operation from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was deployed, but the suspect fled the scene before the arrival of the tactical intervention group. The investigation will have to continue, in order to locate the woman and identify her.

The Center Éducatif Rosemont Daycare located at 1950 boulevard Rosemont has been evacuated. “The children are currently safe,” said agent Mariane Allaire Morin, spokesperson for the SPVM.
