Posted at 6:13 a.m.

Shortly before dawn on Thursday, no arrests had yet been reported in either case.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) reports that shortly before 10:30 p.m., shots hit two people on the grounds of a high school located in the borough of Montreal-Nord, on rue de Charny, near the intersection of avenue P.-M. Favier.

After being alerted by a call to the 911 emergency telephone exchange, police arrived at the scene and found a 26-year-old man with serious injuries and arranged for him to be transported to hospital where his condition was considered critical in the middle. night, Thursday.

A few minutes later, another 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds came to the hospital for treatment. The SPVM has been informed that this man will be saved.

Police learned that four men were chatting on the school grounds when two armed suspects opened fire on them before fleeing. The police also located projectile impacts on parked cars and casings on the ground.

Police investigators will meet with witnesses during the day to elucidate this case.

On the other hand, around the same time, around 10:30 p.m., a young woman was slightly injured when at least one shot was fired in the direction of the vehicle in which she was sitting alone, in the Rivière-des-Prairies district.

The SPVM specifies that the 20-year-old lady was hit by shards of glass caused by a projectile impact on her vehicle.

She had just immobilized her vehicle in the parking lot of a commercial establishment located at the intersection of avenue J.-J.-Joubert and rue Pierre-Borne when she was the victim of the attack. The shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle whose driver fled before the police arrived; they had been informed of the shooting by a call to 911.

Projectile casings were found on the ground and projectile impacts were noted by the police.

The young victim and witnesses will be interviewed by police later Thursday. Investigators and forensic identification technicians must comb through the scene of the shooting.
