(Montreal) Two men were killed and another was seriously injured in two separate incidents late Thursday evening and Friday night in southwest Montreal.
The worst incident happened shortly after 2:20 a.m. on Friday. Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) first tried, it seems, to intercept a vehicle traveling on Highway 15 South whose driver refused to stop.
Soon after, the automobile was located in a serious accident on Highway 15 North, near the Sherbrooke Street exit, in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district. The two men in the vehicle, aged 16 and 18, were then found lifeless.
It is the Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI) which has the mandate to shed light on what happened.
A little earlier, at around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, a cyclist was violently struck by a car on the viaduct of Boulevard Angrignon, near the intersection of rue Notre-Dame, in the borough of LaSalle.
Last I heard, the 27-year-old cyclist was lying in critical condition in hospital while the driver of the car, a 29-year-old man, suffered a nervous shock but did not have to. be taken to hospital.
According to the first observations of the agents of the Police Department of the City of Montreal (SPVM), the cyclist crossed the traffic lane of the viaduct, thus crossing the path of the car heading south.
The investigation will be carried out by collision experts from the SPVM.
