Montreal: they steal their victim’s Lamborghini after torturing her for hours

Individuals who allegedly beat and tortured a man for hours, before stealing a “large sum of money” in cryptocurrency and his luxurious Lamborghini in early February, in downtown Montreal, were caught by Montreal police .

In total, six suspects were apprehended last week in the municipalities of Montreal, Laval and Saint-Jérôme.

They appeared on numerous charges, including forcible confinement, robbery, extortion, conspiracy and possession of a firearm.

In the group, three suspects would have participated directly in the beating of the victim, while the other three would have orchestrated the Machiavellian plan.

Even though they have already appeared, the SPVM refused to reveal the identity of the suspects involved in this case.

The acts with which they are accused occurred on February 5, in an apartment in the city center.

Three suspects then broke into the victim’s home. After threatening the occupant of the premises with a gun, the trio allegedly beat him and tortured him for long hours.

The criminals ended up getting their hands on an encrypted key containing a large sum of cryptocurrency. The suspects also allegedly stole their victim’s luxury Lamborghini car, worth a quarter of a million dollars.

In the days that followed, the suspects allegedly contacted their victim again to extort additional sums of money.

Various investigative techniques made it possible to trace the trail to the six suspects who were allegedly involved in this crime.

The searches carried out as part of this investigation notably led to the seizure of two loaded pistols, a .12 caliber sawed-off rifle and a rifle.

Four of the six suspects remained detained following their appearance, while the other two were released with conditions to be respected.
