Mme Miron, who represented the district of Tétreaultville in Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and chaired the municipal council until the last ballot, lost his election by 55 votes, according to the Court of Quebec.

His opponent Julien Hénault-Ratelle (Ensemble Montreal) was given the winner on the evening of November 7. But like the margin that separated him from Mme Miron (Projet Montréal) was very short, Valérie Plante’s party demanded a count of the ballot boxes.

In the end, Mr. Hénault-Ratelle obtained 5,153 votes, against 5,098 for Suzie Miron.

Five other counts have been finalized since the start of the week. They all confirmed the verdict announced the day after the municipal election, in particular the mayors of the district Gracia Kasoki Katahwa in Côte-des-Neiges – Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Laurent Desbois in Outremont and Caroline Bourgeois in Rivière-des -Prairies – Pointe-aux-Trembles.
