The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) carried out searches on Thursday in Montreal in buildings linked to a network of stolen car exporters.
“Searches related to a network exporting stolen vehicles were carried out Thursday morning in the Montreal metropolitan area by the Investigation Partnership Service (SPE) of the Sûreté du Québec,” the police force said in a press release.
No individuals have been arrested in connection with this operation.
Officers searched several locations in the Pointe-Claire and Saint-Laurent areas, in the west of the island of Montreal.
The aim of the operation was to seize stolen vehicles, authorities said.
