On the fourth day of Russia’s invasion, hundreds of people gathered at Place du Canada on Sunday to wave the blue and yellow Ukrainian flag.

In the crowd, the Quebec and Canadian flags waved alongside the blue and yellow flag. The “Ukraine!” Ukraine! Ukraine! launched by the demonstrators broke the solemn silence.
On a small stage, many politicians marched, surrounded by demonstrators. “Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom, but also for our freedom,” said Paule Robitaille, MP for the Bourrassa-Sauvé riding. We are all Ukrainians! »

Families were present, among the demonstrators who brandished signs high up reading “Putin = dictator” and “Peace for Ukraine”.
