Montreal | Property sales increased by 6.4% in June

(Montreal) The Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers says property sales in the Montreal area increased 6.4% in June compared to the same month last year.


The association says property sales in the region totaled 3,830 units for the month, up from 3,598 in June 2023.

The median price for all housing types increased year over year, led by a 7.2% increase in the price of a plex to $777,000 last month.

The median price of a single-family home jumped 5.8 per cent to $582,500 and the median price of a condominium increased 2.8 per cent to $401,000.

Active registrations for June jumped 24.4% from a year earlier to 18,620.

New registrations increased 7.6% to 5,446.
