(Montreal) A 52-year-old man was hit by several projectiles from a firearm in Montreal-North, Sunday evening, when one or more suspects targeted him while he was outside.

According to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the man was hit in several places in the upper body and he was transported to the hospital center, but his life would no longer be in danger.
The shooting occurred around 7:20 p.m. in front of an apartment building on Avenue Lapierre, in Montreal North.
While he was outside, in front of the door of the building, the man was “suddenly” targeted by one or more shooters.
The Montreal police could not immediately specify whether the assailant (s) had fled in a vehicle, but he or they were no longer there when the officers arrived.
A wide security perimeter was set up, since bullet holes were found on two buildings and three vehicles.
Forensic identification technicians went to the scene and they will be assisted by the canine unit to shed light on the circumstances of this shooting.
