The city of Le Havre already offered a superb view of downtown Montreal. You can now stop to admire the view while taking advantage of the brand new facilities on the Bickerdike promenade, inaugurated at the end of June along Pierre-Dupuy Avenue.
At the end of the work, which required an investment of 2.5 million, the promenade includes a new pedestrian area, a balustrade, viewpoint areas, street furniture, a bicycle repair station and around forty trees and shrubs planted along the 900 metres or so facing Habitat 67.

The route, regularly used by cyclists going to Île Notre-Dame or beyond on the South Shore, also includes several panels to document the history and evolution of the surrounding urban landscape, but also to better promote port activities.
The Bickerdike Promenade is part of the $10 million investment plan for city-port interface improvement projects that are part of the Montreal Port Authority’s 2023-2027 strategic plan.
