The Outremont station of the Montreal metro will remain closed until August 19 for major work, announced the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).

The blue line station, corner Van Horne and Wiseman, closed its doors last week for more than eight months.
The surroundings of the station have been under construction for several months. The STM must now completely close the facilities to “continue major repair work and the installation of elevators”.
“To carry out work of such magnitude, we are forced to close the station, indicates the organization on its website. Indeed, the Outremont station has only one entrance and it would have been impossible, for example, to demolish and rebuild the slab of the entrance, while continuing to welcome customers in complete safety. »
Trains will continue to run under the station, but will not stop there. A shuttle service to the Acadie station has been set up.
