Montreal | Man stabbed in Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood

(Montreal) A 32-year-old man had to be rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Montreal on the night of Sunday to Monday.


The incident occurred around 2:35 a.m. on Côte-Sainte-Catherine Road, near Lavoie Street, in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

When police arrived at the scene following a 911 call, they located the man who was injured in the upper body. He had apparently been assaulted with a sharp object.

The man was taken to hospital in what was considered a “serious” condition. As of Monday morning, Montreal police were still awaiting an update on his condition.

A security perimeter was set up around the scene of the attack to allow investigators from the Montreal Police Department to analyze it.

The Montreal police force reported no arrests in this case Monday morning and specified that the motive for the attack is still unknown.
