(Montreal) Montreal was the scene of a new incident involving firearms, early Tuesday morning, when a man was reportedly hit in the lower body by a projectile.

Around 4:15 a.m., police officers on patrol were notified that gunshots had been heard in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
When they went to the scene, they found at least one casing near a motel on rue Saint-Jacques, not far from rue Lily-Simon.
A man reportedly later showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body and police believe he may have been the target of gunshots heard at the motel.
The life of the affected person would not be in danger.
The scene was sealed off to allow investigators to understand the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but no suspects were arrested immediately after the incident.
