Montreal | Lifeless man found in trash can

(Montreal) The body of a man was found dead on Friday evening in a garbage can on Avenue du Docteur-Penfield in Montreal. It would be the 27the homicide of the year on the territory of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal.

According to information provided by agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the SPVM, the police were called around 7:20 p.m. on Friday evening to carry out checks in an apartment on Avenue des Pins, near the intersection with McGregor Avenue.

While carrying out their checks in this apartment in the borough of Ville-Marie, the patrol officers spotted traces of blood.

They then continued their search and discovered the inanimate body of a man hidden in an outdoor trash can on Avenue du Docteur-Penfield.

The victim’s body bore marks of violence.

A security perimeter was quickly erected and major crime investigators were dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene.

A team of forensic identification technicians was also called upon. An SPVM mobile command post was deployed to assist them.
