(Montreal) A suspicious death occurred in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and a 19-year-old young man was injured with a “sharp object” early Wednesday evening in Montreal. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) believes that there does not seem to be a link between the two events.

Around 4 p.m., a call was made to 9-1-1 so that the police could check the state of health of an individual who had not given any news to a person. They went to Clanranald Avenue, in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, where they spotted an injured man whose age is unknown.
The man was found dead at the scene and the SPVM considers it to be a suspicious death.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are under investigation. All the hypotheses are studied, indicated the agent of the SPVM Véronique Comtois. The investigation will determine if it is an accidental, criminal death or a voluntary act.
The scene has been protected so that investigators can analyze it.
About an hour later, around 5 p.m., the police responded to a call about an injured person in an apartment building on rue Dandurand, in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
The police found a 19-year-old young man in the square with injuries caused by a sharp object. He was transported to the hospital, and the SPVM confirmed a little later that there is no fear for his life.
“According to the first information obtained, a conflict would have degenerated between the victim and the suspect outside the building. The two would have entered inside where the victim would have been injured, ”explained Mr.me Comtois.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with this incident. A perimeter was erected to allow the investigators to do their job.
