The event: Gregory Porter

We can’t resist Gregory Porter’s songs for long. Everything seems easy to this singer with a sure taste and a warm voice who knows how to mix soul, pop and jazz with an unequaled naturalness. It’s romantic, classic in approach and always imbued with sophistication. Why reinvent the wheel when it can spin hearts like that?

Louis Cole

Drummer, keyboardist, singer, composer, arranger, the Californian handyman conceives sometimes absurd and funny universes with his duo Knower, who flirt with the avant-garde, jazz-funk and electronic music. Collaborator of Thundercat and Snarky Puppy, he injects new life into dissonant sounds; compared to Frank Zappa, Cole is a cultural necessity. His titles Deep Pocket Grooves, MyBuick and DIY rack up millions of views. He comes to us with his five albums and his twelve musicians. Obligatory.

Studio TD, 1er July, 10 p.m., free admission
