Montreal International Black Film Festival | The winners announced

The Montreal International Black Film Festival, which ended last Sunday, has awarded its prizes. As Far As I Can Walka film by Strahinja Banović, was crowned “Best Fiction Feature” by the jury.

Other award-winning films include three documentaries: A Star Without a Star (Juanita), by Kirk E. Kelleykahn, The Sun Rises in the Eastby Tayo Giwa, and They Can’t So I mustCanadian Dara Eshaghian.

Aachen Haleby Ian Truitner, received the prize for “Best short fiction film”.

Created in 2005 by the Fabienne Colas Foundation, the Montreal International Black Film Festival’s mission is to highlight works that focus on black realities from all over the world.

During this 18e edition, 95 films from 25 countries were presented.
