Montreal | Gunshots were heard in the Little Burgundy district

Shots were fired early Friday evening in the Montreal district of Little Burgundy. There are no injuries at this time, said the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

Residents of the Montreal neighborhood heard gunshots Friday, around 5:30 p.m., at the corner of Dominion and Quesnel streets. A car and a building that houses apartments were targeted by the bullets.

At this stage of the investigation, there are no suspects, said Gabriella Youakim, spokesperson for the SPVM. Several witnesses will be met soon, she said.

The police set up a perimeter in the area. The canine squad is also present on the scene.
