A snow removal operation has started in 12 Montreal boroughs. Around 7:20 p.m. Sunday evening, it was 10% complete.
The City of Montreal announced on Twitter on Friday that it was launching the fourth snow removal operation of the 2021-2022 season. Six centimeters of snow fell on the metropolis on Saturday, according to Environment Canada, adding to the heavy snowfall on Friday.
Further precipitation is expected across the province early in the week, including freezing rain in Montreal on Tuesday.
As after each snowfall, gigantic banks of snow with holes in crevasses have formed in the streets of Montreal, making parking very difficult for motorists.
