(Montreal) A man in his thirties was shot in the leg overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in downtown Montreal.
Montreal police were notified around 3:15 a.m. of at least one gunshot that occurred at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Drummond streets. Officers did not locate any casualties upon arrival. It is a little later that a call informs them that a 30-year-old man has presented himself at the hospital. He had been shot in the leg.
He is currently out of danger.
“The police have met the man in question, but he is uncooperative at the moment,” said agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, media relations officer for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Rue Sainte-Catherine is closed between Rue de la Montagne and Rue Stanley.
At least one casing was found at the scene. The investigators are in the direction and will view the images of surveillance cameras in order to learn more about this event.
