Montreal: disappearance of a man suffering from autism spectrum disorder

The City of Montreal Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a young man suffering from autism spectrum disorder who has been missing since Friday evening.

David Pierre-Bostic, 18, was last seen around 10 p.m. on February 9 while he was at home in the Saint-Laurent borough.

According to police information, the young man was traveling on foot and had some money on him. He likes to frequent Subway, McDonald’s and Tim Hortons restaurants as well as metro stations.

The dark-skinned man is 168 cm tall and weighs 63 kg. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black coat with white on the shoulders, gray jogging pants and black boots.

Suffering from autism spectrum disorder, David Pierre-Bostic “would have the mental age of a 13-year-old child. He can talk and ask for help, however, he is afraid of people and he is very unsociable,” said the SPVM, which recommends acting delicately with him.

Anyone with information leading to the location of this man is asked to contact police at 911 or through their neighborhood station.
