Montreal Comics Festival | Activities, exhibitions and meetings on rue Saint-Denis

Around sixty free activities, exhibitions and meetings with some of the 300 participating comic artists are planned for the Montreal BD festival, which will take place from May 24 to 26.

Rue Saint-Denis will be pedestrianized between Rue Gilford and Rue Roy for the duration of the festival. We are expecting, among others, the cartoonists Jeremy Perrodeau (Pavil’s face), Tim Probert (Lightfall), Paul Bordeleau (Hypo), Axelle Lenoir (If we were) or even Cassandra Calin (Still Just Kidding).

The illustrator and caricaturist André-Philippe Côté, who has just published the comic AMA, will participate in a series of interviews and conversations. The Franco-Japanese author Isao Moutte is also one of the comic artists invited to conversations.

Round tables, meetings, a manga section, as well as exhibitions like 500 years of indigenous resistance presenting comic strips by Gordon Hill, are also part of this outdoor programming.
