Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot announced on Instagram that his season is over.
“To be continued. A big thank you to my team, CFL fans and the entire city of Montreal! I can’t wait to be healthy again and write the next chapter in 2025,” his post read on Thursday.
Philpot, 24, injured his foot in a 33-23 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Aug. 10. He was placed on the six-game injured list the following week.
The British Columbian will therefore have finished his third season with the Alouettes with 58 catches for 779 yards and five touchdowns.
Philpot scored the winning touchdown in last year’s Grey Cup game. He had 63 yards receiving on six receptions.
