Montreal Alouettes | Tyrice Beverette named CFL Player of the Week

(Toronto) Montreal Alouettes linebacker Tyrice Beverette was named the CFL’s Player of the Final Week.

The American had five tackles, knocked down a pass and most importantly had an interception which he returned 100 yards into the end zone, scoring the game-winning touchdown in an important 25-18 win against the Elks from Edmonton.

Beverette edged out Winnipeg Blue Bombers receiver Nic Demski, as well as Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros.

Demski caught five passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the Bombers’ 31-13 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Collaros completed 14 of 25 passes for 196 yards and four touchdowns.

The quarterback leads the CFL in passing touchdowns (32) and passing yards (3,874), both personal bests.
