Montreal: a residence targeted by a suspicious fire in Pointe-aux-Trembles

A recently sold house was the subject of a fire of visibly suspicious origin in the Pointe-aux-Trembles sector, in Montreal, very early Wednesday.

The fire started around 3 a.m. behind the residence located on 59th Avenue, at the corner of rue Notre-Dame Est.

Firefighters from the Montreal Fire Department quickly brought the flames under control, which did not spread to the residence.

The house did not seem to be inhabited, in any case no one was there at the time of the events.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was asked on the spot possibly to investigate the circumstances of the event.

Damage was minimal and no one was injured.
