Montreal | A pedestrian hit by a motorist in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie

(Montreal) A pedestrian was hit by a motorist on Saturday afternoon in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, in Montreal.


The accident occurred around 3:35 p.m. The Montreal Police Department received several calls concerning a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle near Pie-IX and Rosemont boulevards.

A man in his twenties was possibly crossing the intersection on foot when a vehicle traveling northbound on Pie-IX Boulevard would have hit him, said SPVM spokesperson Mariane Allaire Morin.

He was injured in the upper body and taken to hospital. His state of health was unknown for the moment, the SPVM was still waiting for a health check.

The driver and his passenger were not injured, but they were treated for nervous shock.

A scene was erected at the scene of the accident, the SPVM suggests to motorists to avoid the area for the next few hours.
