A woman in her twenties was fatally struck by the driver of a heavy truck Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred in the Saint-Michel district, at the corner of rue Bélair and 22e av.
Paramedics assisted the victim, but he was pronounced dead on the spot, said officer Julien Lévesque, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service.
The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old man, did not sustain serious physical injuries. A reconstructionist was dispatched to the scene to shed light on the circumstances of the accident.
