(Montreal) A 40-year-old was stabbed by a young man believed to be a member of his family during Wednesday night in downtown Montreal.
According to the police, the 42-year-old victim was entrusted to the care of a hospital center. At daybreak, we no longer feared for his life.
The assault occurred around 3:20 a.m. near the Atwater metro station. Officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) were notified by calling the 911 telephone exchange.
A little later, the suspect, a young man of 23, was arrested in the borough of Verdun.
He was transported to an SPVM investigation center for questioning.
The canine squad was called to examine the crime scene.
