A man was injured in the upper body with a sharp object during an argument that broke out Sunday morning around 5:15 a.m. in an apartment located on Poupart Street, in the Sainte-Marie district of Montreal.
“He was attacked with a sharp or pointed object. We are still trying to find out what kind of weapon was used,” said the spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service (SPVM), Sabrina Gauthier.
The victim apparently spent the night with friends before going to this apartment with a friend, where the conflict broke out. One or more suspects allegedly attacked him, but it is not known for what reason. He was transported to a hospital, but there is no fear for his life, specifies Sabrina Gauthier.
At 9:30 a.m., a perimeter was still established on the scene, according to the SPVM.
