Montpellier beaten by nothing by Stade Toulousain

A conceded try at the start (Delibes 3′) and at the finish, a two-point loss to Toulousefor the Hérault rugby players, beaten at home (17-19), this Sunday, during the fifth day of Top 14.

This is the second setback of the season, after that in La Rochelle, but the first at home. And it prevents Montpellier from taking control of the Top 14 and overtaking their evening opponent. Philippe Saint André’s men even fell to third place.

However, they scored two tries (Bouthier 8′, Forletta 27′) and led, before being overtaken in a match which kept all its promises in terms of spectacle, intensity and suspense, and which they had the opportunity to win , on a ball that Vincent Rattez failed to capture, four minutes from the siren.

Dominated, finally, by a reworked Toulouse but carried by a great Melvyn Jaminet (four penalties and a transformation), the PSA manager was very disappointed to have lost, in a sold-out stadium for the first time since 2017in other words in front of 14,000 spectators.
