Montmartre harvest festival: back on the cutting of the grapes with the godfather François Vincentelli

The Harvest Festival made its big comeback on the Montmartre hill in Paris from October 5 to 9, 2020, for an 89th edition with a festive and gourmet program and in particular placed under the sign of equality. More than 500,000 visitors were expected for this event, reported the official website of the Paris City Hall, adding that it is “third most frequented Parisian event after Nuit Blanche and Paris Plages“.

A long-awaited meeting, therefore, and which did not disappoint. Between concerts, shows, taste trail with its sales and tastings of artisanal and local products, ball, picnic, exhibition, brass band, grand parade, and even a running race… There was plenty to do for this 2022 edition. The cutting of the grapes was of course the most important moment of this event. It was carried out in company “gardeners from the City of Paris, helped by volunteers from the Montmartre Festival and Social Action Committee”allin the presence of the Mayor of 18e borough Eric Lejoindre ,could we read in a press release.

A childhood dream

Note that the 2022 Harvest Festival was sponsored by two actors: Marie Philomène Nga and François Vincentelli. The latter, who became the father of a little Colette in December 2021, never hid his “wonder in front of Montmartre“. A neighborhood he describes as “the perfect combination between a bustling metropolis and the romance of a village lost in the depths of a tale, where fairies and demons could live there in perfect harmony“.

Without forgetting that he is, since 2015, “owner with some friends of a parcel of vines in Saumur“. They produce there “a small gourmet wine called ‘Kayenn’“, which naturally explains his sponsorship of this event. Being invited to the Montmartre grape harvest is therefore “an honor and a childhood dream come true” for him. And a very nice evening.
